I’d rather be single and lonely… than married and lonely.

I’d rather be single and content… than married and discontent.

I’d rather be single and seeking God… than in a marriage that isn’t seeking God.

I’d rather be single and close to the Lord… than married and far from the Lord.

I’d rather be single and filled with fruit… than in a marriage lacking fruit.

I’d rather be single and fear God… than married and fear my husband.

I’d rather be single and know Jesus… than married to someone who pulls me away from Jesus.

I’d rather be a single parent raising my children to love… than married to someone teaching them to hate.

I’d rather be a single parent showing my children respect… than married to someone who shows disrespect.

I’d rather be single and lacking family… than have a toxic family.

I’d rather be a healthy and stable single parent… than married to someone who is unhealthy or unstable.

I’d rather be a single parent providing my children safety and protection… than married to someone unsafe for us.

I’d rather be single and belittling myself… than married to someone who belittles me.

I’d rather be a single parent and exhausted from doing everything myself… than married and exhausted from doing everything myself.

I’d rather be single with good self-worth… than married to someone who attacks my self-worth.

I’d rather be single with my identity rooted in Christ… than married to someone who confuses my identity.

I’d rather be single and financially stable… than married with no financial security.

I’d rather be single and part of a Christ-minded community… than married with no community.
